Testimonials:
I just wanted to tell you how excited I am to have found your barn. The
barn is safe beautiful and the people are amazing. Most of all I wanted
to tell you how much I adore Laura Huff. She is so kind and gentle with
horses and knowledgeable. I was nervous at first knowing that my mare
that has never been at any other barn and she would be wild and the
situation could go bad in the wrong hands. I mean let's face it I didn't
even want to tie her in the barn in fear that she would tear the place
down. Laura has done wonders with Zoey and has made coming back to
another stable a blessing to me. My mare is absolutely in love with
Laura and has made leaps and bounds since meeting her. I have only been
at your barn three to four weeks and already she ties, walks calmly,
lunges, and works in the round pen like a broke horse, and as of last
week I finally got to ride her. I just wanted to say that I love your
stable and I can't wait to progress in Dressage with Laura. She is a
wonderful trainer and I can't wait for the wonderful things we will
achieve with my large and no longer crazy mare.

I moved to Colorado and at the same time I also purchased my first
horse. He was being shipped from California in a couple of weeks and I
had to find an excellent barn and trainer as soon as possible. I went to
the local tack shop to get the names of reputable barns and trainers.
It was my great fortune to find Laura Huff at Blue Sky Stables. Within
10 minutes I knew she was the right trainer and I was at the right barn,
and I signed up for the last remaining stall. That was almost 2 years
ago, and Laura has taken me and Cairo on an incredible journey that
continues today.
Looking back now, I can see how little I knew about horses and how
much training Cairo needed. Laura saw that too, and made sure that we
started from the ground up. She made our training sessions safe and fun.
If the original plan for the lesson does not seem like a good idea
(given horse mood, weather, etc.), she is able to quickly see that and
change gears so that the lesson will have the most value for that
moment in time. Laura is able to read horses and their moods so well,
and she cares so much about making the horse and rider the best they can
be without sacrificing happiness.
I can truly say that I could never have made this wonderful journey
without her amazing knowledge and guidance. Cairo and I owe so much to
her and she has become an integral part of our lives. Not only am I a
better rider, but I've learned so much about horsemanship, ground work,
health issues, barn etiquette, and most importantly, how to have the
wonderful and trusting relationship that I have with my magnificent
horse. Words can never express how grateful I am to have found Laura
